Join Slow Food Prescott and Arcosanti for breakfast centered around this culinary treasure: mesquite pancakes!

The land at Arcosanti has a natural mesquite bosque along the Agua Fria. It requires no extra water or tending and produces edible bean pods every summer. When properly harvested, the pods can be milled into a nutritious, sweet flour. We love to blend that flour with blue corn flour for pancakes. Top that with prickly pear syrup (also harvested and processed onsite) and the result is magic.

Breakfast begins at 9:00am on Sunday. It will be an excellent opportunity to chat with fellow foodies.

Advance registration required (tickets not included in general admission to Convergence):

Adults (13&up) $20
Children (12-6) $10
Children (5 & under) free.

Attendees may enjoy a complimentary tour of Arcosanti when breakfast concludes at 11am.

Visitors are welcome to attend just the pancake breakfast. However, we invite everyone to consider purchasing a day pass to the full Convergence to gain access to vendors, informational booths, speakers, and music. That is…if you have not already joined in on the whole scene…

We will also be milling this year! Thank you to Prescott College for providing the hammermill. Bring your pods and go home with your own mesquite flour.

$10 per five-gallon bucket of pods. Payments made onsite.

Must be clean, dry, and free of sticks and mold. Milling will be available throughout the day on Sunday. Contact Colleen with any questions: colleenreckow@arcosanti.org.
