Cosanti Foundation President Jeff Stein reports:

Sculptor Kendall Buster is among the artists selected by Scottsdale Public Art to participate in the upcoming Spring Equinox “Canal Convergence” March 21-24. Her project, “Dual Apparitions” is being installed this week on the Soleri Bridge in downtown Scottsdale.

The installation, two floating translucent forms, engages the bridge itself in a kind of conversation of form and material.

Kendall holds an MFA from Yale University and currently serves as professor of sculpture and extended media in the Department of Sculpture at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her work can be experienced in museums and public spaces throughout the United States, including in architect Will Bruder’s Agave Branch Library in Phoenix.

Canal Convergence, developed around the Soleri Bridge and Plaza by Scottsdale Public Art, celebrates the Valley’s “unique canal culture and history.” This spring’s FREE event features “innovative installations, hands-on activities, live music, performances, and Artisan Market’s urban marketplace experience.”
