This continues our report about a winter project for our construction and groundskeeping crew and volunteers, the renovation of the East Foundry Apartment access and surrounding landscape [see posts from 12/16, 12/18, 12/20, 12/23, 12/27, 12/30/2013 and from 1/3 to 1/17/2014].
Ron is measuring the curved railing in place. Some adjustment is needed.

The side wall of the little bench right next to the construction site provides an ingenious and strong opportunity to adjust the curved steel as needed.
The curved upper railing is now perfect for the shape of the fence and Isaac is welding it to the fence posts.
For the lower railing the curved steel has been cut into segments and here is Ron welding one of the segments to a fence post.
Isaac is learning a great deal under Ron’s tutelage, all the steps of cutting and preparing steel, as well as welding.
