The 3rd Annual Meet & Greet Fiber Retreat took place on January 25, 2014 and was a great success.

The winter weather was sunny and warm and about 50 participants signed up for this 3rd Annual Meet & Greet Fiber Retreat, a full day of fiber fun.

People came to knit, crochet, felt, weave, spin, coil, and cord, and visitors came to watch and learn.

For the first time, free beginner workshops were offered.

There were quit a few vendors selling everything from supplies to finished textiles throughout the day.

This year’s event featured a presentation in the Red Room, from special guest Ann Morton, whose Ground Cover Public Art Project provided 300 handmade blankets to individuals experiencing homelessness in Phoenix last year.

The event was from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a lunch break and a delicious meal available at the Arcosanti cafe.
