We continue our report about upgrade work in the East Crescent Keystone area. You can see an elevation and a plan of this project in our report from August 15. and the beginning of the work is reported on 8/20/2014. Continuing reports were posted on 9/1, 9/3, and on 9/10, 9/12, 9/15 and 9/22/2014.

Ron Chandler and Cayo Romero are removing the formwork of the second concrete planter box. Right next to Cayo we can see the area of rocks where a staircase is planned.

Cayo is measuring for formwork. Workshop participants Amanda Clark, Ginevra Ligasacchi and Alison Gibbs are sanding and scraping imperfections from the planter edge. Right next to the planter we can see the packed slope for the planned staircase.

Workshop participant Elliot Davis is drilling holes for rebar/concrete reinforcement at the upper part of the planned staircase.

Here we can see the packed earth slope and the rebar connections sticking out of the upper slab.

Formwork for the stairs has been carefully measured, cut and installed. We can see a plywood form with a cut-out of the planned staircase, mounted to each planter side. A rebar cage has been installed under the stair forms.

Next report will be on the concrete pour of the stairs.
