We welcome back the dancers of HUMAN NATURE, a dance company that comes each year for a week-long workshop which culminates into a performance on Saturday evening. This is their 17th consecutive year here at Arcosanti.

Formed in 1994 by Jayne Lee and Delisa Myles, and based in northern Arizona, Human Nature performs regularly in Flagstaff, Prescott, and Jerome, as well as their annual engagement at Arcosanti. They work on a project-to-project basis, and have performed additionally in London, UK; Boulder, CO; and Sedona, Cottonwood, Tucson, and Phoenix, AZ.

Human Nature integrates live music, spoken word, and dramatic lighting with their movement phrases, communicating their creative ideas on a variety of levels. Each performance contains a central idea or narrative that flows through a number of individual pieces.

This years performance is titled “animal etiquette”
and will take place on OCTOBER 9, 2010.

Tickets are $40 for the performance and dinner or
$20 for the performance only ($10 for students).

[photo] After three days and nights of intermittent intense lightning storms with lots of rain, hail truly close to ping-pong ball size, the amphitheater is finally dry enough for the Human Nature participants to practice on the stage.
