On November 26, the day after the Thanksgiving feasting and celebrations, a hike was scheduled to walk off some of the calories consumed.

A group from Arcosanti met some Friends of the Agua Fria National Monument and other friends interested in rock art to hike to petroglyph sites nearby.

The petroglyph sites had been previously marked with GPS coordinates. There were prehistoric Native American designs and animal images as well as Spanish inscriptions from the later historic period.

It was a beautiful day for hiking in the Agua Fria National Monument.
