The first BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL at Arcosanti took place this past Saturday and it was a very successful event.

The day was very well organized by the AZ Highway 69 Chamber of Commerce. A special Thank You goes to Chamber President Ben Satran, who suggested a bluegrass festival for this area two years ago and cast the vision for this event.

During the Opening Ceremony, Colors were presented by the Cordes Lakes Memorial American Legion Post 122 and the National Anthem was sung by Heidi Dahms-Foster. There was a welcome by Bill Rummer and Tom Thurman and an Invocation by Mayer Fire Chaplain, Pastor Robert Ossler.
