The Community Forest Trust held the first Central Arizona Public Lands Volunteer Academy at Arcosanti April 28th and 29th.

Twenty Eight Volunteers learned about map and GPS use, trail building and monitoring, first aid and CPR, archeological site monitoring and safety to increase their skills and knowledge to prepare them to take more responsibility in leading on going volunteer work on public lands.

Volunteers provide increasing support to the  Forest Service, BLM, Agua Fria National Monument and Arizona State Land for trash collection, trail building, stream monitoring and other critical activities. for more info: http://www.communityforesttrust.com/ , communityforesttrustmail@gmail.com
