The Cafe @ Arcosanti
Dinner will be a 5-course Italian feast, and due to some monsoon-like weather we have been experiencing these last few days, will be held in the Arcosanti Cafe instead of in the vaults. The performance will still be held in the amphitheater, weather permitting.
The meal will include parmesan crisps, bruschetta, ciabatta, basil flavored extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar; Penne Pasta Primavera with pecorino slivers and fresh herbs; poached salmon with dill/mustard or mediterranean citrus sauce, vegetarian option: eggplant moussaka, mixed green salad with Paolo’s dressing; red and green grapes; and coffee crunch or forest berry gelato from Cool Gelato in Scottsdale. Wine and beer will be available for purchase.
Following dinner, soprano Jayne Casselman and pianist Lynne Haeseler lead a multimedia musical extravaganza with percussionist and composer Owen Davis, tenor Chris Eubank and graphic/projection artist Nathan Greene. The evening’s entertainment features texts from Paolo Soleri; excerpts from the works of Goldoni, Pirandello, Scarlatti, and others; Gregorian chant, Italian opera, and Venetian masks; as well as social satire and improvisational instrumental work.
