Arcosanti’s new 12,500 gallon polypropylene water cistern recently arrived, replacing
the older metal tank and allowing for nearly twice the water storage capacity
so as to provide for the needs of a growing community. The older metal tank may
possibly be reused in the future as part of a rain-water catchment system on the
roofs of the East
Crescent Complex to tap into the hydrological cycle for irrigation applications.
