Saturday night the Arcosanti community was lucky to host folksy pop duo Technicolor Hearts. Band members Naomi and Joseph put on a visually and aurally stimulating show in the Arcosanti Amphitheater, complete with lights of varying colors and using a rotary phone at some points as a microphone.[photos by Sue Kirsch, text by Julia Dorn-Giarmoleo]
Unfortunately, the performance was interrupted half way through by rain, so both performers and audience scurried to the Music Room behind the Amphitheater stage to continue the concert. Naomi’s ethereal vocals were accompanied by a variety of instruments, including a violin and a toy reel, as well as Joseph’s musical arrangements.
The new, more compact venue allowed for more audience participation, and the audience was invited to sing along with the band for the final song. It was a lovely, intimate show for residents and performers alike!
