Last Saturday’s Bluegrass Festival was a wonderful event. The weather was a little unsteady and we got a few raindrops, but for the most part is was a day of music and laughter, vendors, raffles and great atmosphere.

MC Ken Clemmer [founder of the Back Porch Bandits] opened the event with a pledge to the legion and a warm welcome to performers, audience and vendors.

The festival drew a good size and lively crowd.

The first act was by CISCO AND THE RACECARS. This is a terrific group that has grown out of Annie Beach’s JAM PACK BUES & GRASS NEIGHBORHOOD BAND.

Here is FLINTHILL SPECIAL with a treat of traditional Bluegrass music.

SUPERSTITION RIDGE BLUEGRASS BAND with traditional songs and some very funny jokes.

Vendors were set up in the Vaults as well as in the bays surrounding the Amphitheater.

More to come on Friday, May 6. 2016.
