Part of a research project for one of our alum had us take a closer look at slides of the very first construction at Arcosanti in 1970, of panels for the cubes in camp.
This ingenious set-up is at an area now called Ferguson’s, right next to the Agua Fria riverbank.
We did not see this in action, as all of us in the archives arrived much later.
Our hope in posting this is that someone who was part of this early crew will write back and explain how it all worked, especially the rolling structure.
