Erosion Control Workshop
On Saturday, November 5, 2011, from 9 am to 1 pm, an Erosion Control workshop will take place at Arcosanti.
You can learn practical, low-cost, best management practices and techniques to protect property, reduce loss to erosion and reduce sediment to the river.
There will be Hands-on training along the Agua Fria River at Arcosanti.
The Cosanti Foundation and the Arcosanti Project with the support of an ADEQ Water Quality Improvement Grant are hosting this educational opportunity which will attempt to provide “hands on” training in low cost, effective, best management practices to deal with head cuts, stream bank stabilization and other run-off issues.
Partners include the Upper Agua Fria Watershed Partnership, Friends of the Agua Fria National Monument, Sonoran Audubon and Together Green Grant, NRCS; Technical support is provided by Natural Channel Design of Flagstaff.
