Who We Are
The Cosanti Foundation is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit with a mission to inspire a reimagined urbanism that builds equitable and resilient communities sustainably integrated with the natural world. We operate from two flagship locations that are open to the public year-round: Arcosanti in central Arizona and Cosanti in the Phoenix metro area.
We also own and operate Cosanti Originals, a world-famous bronze and ceramic bell-making company with manufacturing studios and galleries at both Arcosanti and Cosanti.

Volunteer Workshops
Volunteerism has a long, rich history with The Cosanti Foundation. Our experimental architectural structures at both Cosanti and Arcosanti were built almost entirely through the dedication of over 8000 volunteers. Our 6-week Volunteer Workshop Program is the cornerstone of the Arcosanti experience.
Participants receive all the benefits of an extended learning-by-doing curriculum as well as the opportunity to live as part of the Arcosanti community throughout the program. Current volunteer workshops focus on special projects throughout the site, from agriculture to landscaping to archives and more. Graduates of this workshop become official Arcosanti Alumni.
Other Volunteer Opportunities
If you are already an alum of the workshop program, or have specific skills currently needed at Arcosanti, it may be possible to volunteer outside of the 6-week program. Areas of potential need include:
- Agriculture
- Archival Work
- Planning / Design
- Event Support
- IT and other Tech Projects
- Landscaping
- Site Maintenance
- Basic Construction
- Graphic Design
